Use on a device you are authorized to configure.

[ ] Record Windows edition, build, architecture, and support status.
[ ] Check current security protection and Windows Update before changes.
[ ] Back up important files and identify an appropriate recovery method.
[ ] Review optional diagnostics separately from required service connections.
[ ] Review camera, microphone, and location access for the apps you actually use.
[ ] Review advertising/personalization and cloud-account settings separately.
[ ] Identify each firewall restriction and preserve the relevant existing rules.
[ ] Remove only a specific unwanted app and confirm a reinstall route first.
[ ] Change one setting at a time and record its original value.
[ ] Reopen the Windows control and test the affected feature.
[ ] Test updates, sign-in, microphone/camera, and required network apps afterward.
[ ] Reverse unsuccessful changes and verify recovery.
